How the blog posts are organized
The blog posts have been organized into categories based on various aspects of learning:
Learning by oneself
Here we will explore the different ways in which we learn or study, our individual learning strategies, how we think, plan and adapt to our environment.
Learning from Books
Whether at school or college or at the library or our own collection, learning from books is something all civilized societies do. But what do we read and how, also why, when and where is what we need to examine. We will share and review the books we read.
Learning by observing
What a lot we learn just by observing our environment, nature, things and people! Let us explore and discover the world around us.
Learning with people
Learning with and from people. Collaborative learning projects; from teachers and peers; by asking, listening and interviewing.
Doing experiments
Doing experiments as in the sciences - physical, biological or social - in a controlled environment.
Testing by doing
Testing our ideas, concepts and understanding by doing; practicing and mastering skills - manual, verbal, intellectual and artistic.
Feedback: positive & negative
Feedback from the environment and people, adaptation, appreciation, encouragement and criticism.
Learning about things & life
Learning about the physical universe, matter and energy, the planet we live on, machines and living organisms.
Learning about people
Learning about different cultures, societies and traditions
Learning about places
Where people live, their environment, the regions, the countries and nations of the world, their resources and population.
Reflections
What we think and feel about learning, teaching, schools, higher education, work, home, parenting, leisure, hobbies, entertainment.
